Games Day Coverage: Day 4

|

I know it's been just about a week since Games Day but there were just so many cool things there. Starting from the top we have a Submarine scenario with Orks. Then a life size Tau statue, followed by the board of guests that showed up for signing and panels, and then last was a case with a life size Scorpions helmet in it. Very sweet stuff.

The Ultramarines Movie

|

For those of you that went to Games Day you would have seen that they were not only showcasing the Ultramarines movie in a panel room but they set up an area where the trailer (a different one than this one below) played. The picture above was actually a blow up Ultramarine that went all the way to the ceiling!

Games Day Coverage: Day 1

Anyone else who had the chance to go to Games Day in Baltimore this weekend would have noticed quite a bit of new mini's coming out soon. I personally love this booth because you get a chance to see their up and coming mini's and they even had a sketch book available to look through. The picture on the top has some new Imperial Guard and the picture on the bottom has some new Tau.

Otakon!

|

Why am I talking about Otakon when my blog is based on Miniatures? Well the above photo should tell it all. While at the convention this weekend in Baltimore, MD I saw this guy dressed up like a Chaos Terminator and I just had to take his picture.

Dan Abnett talking about the Ultramarines movie at ComicCon

|
I believe the Ultramarines movie draws nearer and nearer. I am lead to believe this because of the recent update on the Ultramarines the movie website. "Dan Abnett, ULTRAMARINES screenwriter, is coming to ComicCon in San Diego at the end of this month, with lots of activities lined up and several opportunities to meet many of you.
Amongst other things, he’ll be talking about being screenwriter on the movie as part of a panel presented by SFX, called ‘The British Invasion’, running on Thursday July 22nd at 5pm in Hall 5AB. And on Friday 23rd July at 10- 11am he’ll be signing ULTRAMARINES postcards (or anything else you want him to!) in the Autograph Area at table AA20. More details to follow...

And for anyone who can’t make it to ComicCon, but wants to meet Dan and talk about the project, he’ll be in Baltimore for US Games Day on August 21st too."

Exciting isn't it and unfortunately I will not be at ComicCon I will however be at Games Day to give my readers coverage.
