Harlequin Death Jester Finecast Phase 1

Ah my first Finecast model. I've been dying to get my hands on a Death Jester for awhile but since I haven't played since the winter time, I figured I had some time to paint him. Since this is a Works in Progress post, this will be only phase 1. That is the initial assembly and I primed it white. The Harlequins are a good solid choice and they can be used in 2 armies: Eldar and Dark Eldar. Which is good new for those of you that play both.

Games Day Coverage: Day 4

I know it's been just about a week since Games Day but there were just so many cool things there. Starting from the top we have a Submarine scenario with Orks. Then a life size Tau statue, followed by the board of guests that showed up for signing and panels, and then last was a case with a life size Scorpions helmet in it. Very sweet stuff.

Here are some pictures of Titans.

Starting from the top we have a Chaos Titan, some other kind of titans, A Gargant (Ork Titan), and some Eldar Titans. Good stuff.

Eldar Phoenix Lord Karandras, The Shadow Hunter

No one knows where Karandras originally came from, but it is known that he was not the first Exarch of the Striking Scorpions. Karandras is a special character and may only be included once in your army.

Eldar Warlock

Warlocks are psykers who can use their powers to effect the outcome of battle or improve the fighting skills of those around them.

Eldar Farseers

As you can see on the right we have a modified Eldrad Ulthran, this is because my friend had an extra one but he was pretty beat up so I just tweaked him and used him as a regular Farseer. Farseers are masters of prediction, studying the manifold consequences of the smallest decision and guiding their people to victory. In times of war they uncover an enemy's intention and guide him to his doom. Farseers fight with powerful psychic powers and can obliterate an enemy leaders mind or hurl a battle tank into the air.

Eldar Dire Avengers

These two are once again older models but they are still excellent. The Dire Avengers are first among the Aspect Warriors of the Eldar and are the most common of all Aspect Warriors. Famed for being as deadly on the attack as in defense, they are tactically flexible and use their shuriken catapults to create a storm of monomolecular blades. It is rare to find an Elder force without a squad of these graceful warriors at its heart.

Eldar Dark Reapers

These are oldie but goodies for the Dark Reapers. The Dark Reapers represent the War God in his role as the Destroyer. They are perhaps the most sinister and lethal of all Aspect Warriors and their armour is adorned with symbols of death and destruction. Dark Reapers are chosen in squads of between 3 and 5 models.

Eldar Fire Dragons

Here are 2 Eldar Fire Dragons. The exarch on the left and the trooper on the right.

Eldar Phoenix Lord Maugan Ra, The Harvester of Souls

Maugan Ra is actually one of my personal favorites and he was my first Phoenix lord. Phoenix Lord Maugan-Ra, first of the Dark Reapers and Harvester of Souls. Maugan-Ra reaps a high toll of blood from those who oppose the Eldar.

Older Striking Scorpions

These two are the older Striking Scorpions. One Exarch and one regular trooper.

Striking Scorpions

Here are two of the "newer" striking scorpions, one exarch and one regular squad member.

Eldar Phoenix Lord Jain Zar, The Storm of Silence

Jain Zar is the Phoenix Lord of the Howling Banshee Aspect warriors. She is the most swift and ferocious of the Phoenix Lords. Jain Zar has travelled widely across the webway, and so it is that the Howling Banshees can be found on all but the remotest craftworld. Jain Zar is a special character and my only be included once in your army.

Eldar Avatar

Every craftworld is home to an Eldar Avatar who sits motionless until the call to arms begins. He is the embodiment of an ancient God, molten iron flowing through his veins. In his right he carries the Wailing Doom, the weapon of the bloodstained God which cries for the taste of mortal flesh. One thing to note here is that I modified him a little bit. Notice there is no sword and he has the horns from the old Orion, King in the Woods and his Hounds.

Eldar Phoenix Lord Baharroth, The Cry of the Wind

Baharroth is believed to be the finest pupil of Asurmen. He was the winged Phoenix and founder of the Swooping Hawk Aspect.

Swooping Hawk Exarchs

Sorry they are actually called Aspect Warriors now. These are older models but good ones.

Eldar Rangers

Here are 3 Alaitoc Rangers.
